This baking mix – NO.5 RÅGFRALLOR – will let you bake, serve and enjoy traditional Swedish Rye Bread Rolls. Wherever you are.
Rye has been cultivated in Sweden for more than 1,500 hundred years and was for long our most important cereal. Consumption has decreased in the past hundred years, but rye bread is still very popular. It comes in many different forms and flavours - from hard to soft, sour to sweet, baked with whole grains or finely milled flour. Rye is fibre rich and gives you a feeling of satisfied fullness. It’s perfect for breakfast or a healthy fika.
This baking mix will let you enjoy freshly baked Swedish Rye Bread Rolls, with a hint of fennel. Simply combine (no need to knead) the mix with water, cover and let rise at room temperature for 12-16 hours. Cut the dough into 10 pieces/rolls and bake for 15 minutes. All dry ingredients (incl. dry yeast), as well as baking sheets, are included. Just add water.
The baking mix comes in a beautiful gift box, that can be refilled when the fika session has taken place. Inside the box is a card with a photography and a short text (in English) that describes the pastry. Instructions are in both English and Swedish.
